Regulation 26 of SI 2026/873 provides that Part 8 of the Waste Regulations 2011, the registration of carriers, brokers and dealers, ceases to have effect in relation to England. Those Regulations were made on 22 July 2026 and regulation 26 takes effect at the end of the 12 month period beginning with that day, so at the end of 21 July 2027. Government guidance puts phase two of waste tracking at October 2027.
