Section 34(4A)(b) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 treats a series of transfers between the same parties of waste of the same description as a single transfer, taking place when the first in the series takes place. The waste duty of care code of practice calls the resulting document a season ticket, says it can last up to one year for regular transfers of the same type of non-hazardous waste with the same carrier, and says a record of collection times and quantities should be kept.
