Categories describe the waste this registration permits the business to carry. They are not a list of services, and they say nothing about how well the work is done.

The Environment Agency's register does not hold contact details for anybody, so we have none to publish. If this is your firm, you can add them.

Is this your firm?

Your name is not on this page. We publish the trading name only, never the personal name, the street address or the full postcode. Less about you than the Environment Agency publishes.

The register holds no way to reach you. Add one, and correct anything above. Neither costs anything.

What to write down when someone takes your rubbish

The waste duty of care code of practice says there is no legal requirement for a householder to keep records of the check they make on a carrier, and that a lack of records does not prove the check was not made. It suggests keeping something anyway: the registration number you checked, a receipt showing the business details, a photograph of the carrier's registration, or the vehicle registration, make, model and colour. If the waste is later fly-tipped and the local authority investigates, the Code says records can quickly show that you met your duty of care.

Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (GOV.UK), Waste duty of care code of practice, section 5.6. Read 2026-09-03. Six questions worth asking before you book explains this in full.

What the register settles, and what to ask the firm

We publish the register. Here is where it stops.

It does tell you

  • That the business is registered to transport waste
  • Which tier the registration sits in
  • When the registration expires

It does not tell you

  • That the work will be done well
  • Anything about complaints, insurance or disputes
  • That anyone has inspected their vehicles or staff
