The Environment Agency's register does not hold contact details for anybody, so we have none to publish. If this is your firm, you can add them.

Is this your firm?

Your name is not on this page. We publish the trading name only, never the personal name, the street address or the full postcode. Less about you than the Environment Agency publishes.

The register holds no way to reach you. Add one, and correct anything above. Neither costs anything.

Do nothing and the page stays as it is.

The registration number belongs on the transfer note

Regulation 35 of the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 sets out what the written information accompanying a transfer of controlled waste must contain. It must state whether each party is, among other things, “a person registered as a carrier of controlled waste under the Control of Pollution (Amendment) Act 1989, in which case the note must include the registration number (if any)”. It must also give the name and address of both parties and be signed by them.

legislation.gov.uk, The Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011, regulation 35: waste information. Read 2026-09-03. What a waste transfer note is, and why you keep it explains this in full.

What the register settles, and what to ask the firm

We publish the register. Here is where it stops.

It does tell you

  • That the business is registered to transport waste
  • Which tier the registration sits in
  • When the registration expires

It does not tell you

  • That the work will be done well
  • Anything about complaints, insurance or disputes
  • That anyone has inspected their vehicles or staff
