Waste categories on the registration

Rubbish & junk removal

Categories describe the waste this registration permits the business to carry. They are not a list of services, and they say nothing about how well the work is done.

The Environment Agency's register does not hold contact details for anybody, so we have none to publish. If this is your firm, you can add them.

Is this your firm?

Your name is not on this page. We publish the trading name only, never the personal name, the street address or the full postcode. Less about you than the Environment Agency publishes.

The register holds no way to reach you. Add one, and correct anything above. Neither costs anything.

Authorities may set a lower amount for early payment

Section 33ZA(10) lets an English waste collection authority treat a fly-tipping fixed penalty as having been paid if a lesser amount, not less than £120, is paid before the end of a period the authority specifies. Section 34ZA(9) does the same for the household waste duty of care penalty, again with a £120 floor. Whether such a reduction is offered at all, and how long it runs, is set by the individual authority.

legislation.gov.uk (The National Archives), Environmental Protection Act 1990, section 33ZA(10), version in force from 1 September 2026. Read 2026-09-03. Fly-tipping: when it becomes your fine explains this in full.

What the register settles, and what to ask the firm

We publish the register. Here is where it stops.

It does tell you

  • That the business is registered to transport waste
  • Which tier the registration sits in
  • When the registration expires

It does not tell you

  • That the work will be done well
  • Anything about complaints, insurance or disputes
  • That anyone has inspected their vehicles or staff
