Regulation 32 of the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 says a registration may be revoked if the registered person or another relevant person has been convicted of a relevant offence, or if, in the opinion of the appropriate body, it is undesirable for them to continue to be authorised to act. Regulation 3 defines that body as the Environment Agency in England. Written reasons must be given, and where no appeal is made the revocation takes effect 28 days after the notification is received.
