A council may charge you at a centre outside your own area

Section 51(3) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 lets a waste disposal authority open its sites to people who are not residents on such terms as to payment, if any, as the authority determines. Oxfordshire charges non-residents £15 a booking and gives them no free allowance for do-it-yourself waste. The nearest centre is not always the one you may use for nothing.
