Commercial & trade waste

Categories describe the waste this registration permits the business to carry. They are not a list of services, and they say nothing about how well the work is done.

The Environment Agency's register does not hold contact details for anybody, so we have none to publish. If this is your firm, you can add them.

Is this your firm?

Your name is not on this page. We publish the trading name only, never the personal name, the street address or the full postcode. Less about you than the Environment Agency publishes.

The register holds no way to reach you. Add one, and correct anything above. Neither costs anything.

Do nothing and the page stays as it is.

One note can cover a year of regular collections

Section 34(4A)(b) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 treats a series of transfers between the same parties of waste of the same description as a single transfer, taking place when the first in the series takes place. The waste duty of care code of practice calls the resulting document a season ticket, says it can last up to one year for regular transfers of the same type of non-hazardous waste with the same carrier, and says a record of collection times and quantities should be kept.

legislation.gov.uk, Environmental Protection Act 1990, section 34(4A). Read 2026-09-03. What a waste transfer note is, and why you keep it explains this in full.

What the register settles, and what to ask the firm

We publish the register. Here is where it stops.

It does tell you

  • That the business is registered to transport waste
  • Which tier the registration sits in
  • When the registration expires

It does not tell you

  • That the work will be done well
  • Anything about complaints, insurance or disputes
  • That anyone has inspected their vehicles or staff
