The Environment Agency's register does not hold contact details for anybody, so we have none to publish. If this is your firm, you can add them.

Is this your firm?

Your name is not on this page. We publish the trading name only, never the personal name, the street address or the full postcode. Less about you than the Environment Agency publishes.

The register holds no way to reach you. Add one, and correct anything above. Neither costs anything.

Clearing a vacated property is not household waste

Section 5.2 of the waste duty of care code of practice says waste resulting from the clearance of premises after they have been vacated, its own example being a landlord or letting agent clearing student housing, is not considered to be household waste. Section 5.1 confines the householder exemption from the transfer note requirement to household waste produced on the property.

Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Environment Agency, Waste duty of care: code of practice. Read 2026-09-03. Clearing a rented property: landlord and tenant explains this in full.

What the register settles, and what to ask the firm

We publish the register. Here is where it stops.

It does tell you

  • That the business is registered to transport waste
  • Which tier the registration sits in
  • When the registration expires

It does not tell you

  • That the work will be done well
  • Anything about complaints, insurance or disputes
  • That anyone has inspected their vehicles or staff
