Waste categories on the registration

House & estate clearance

Categories describe the waste this registration permits the business to carry. They are not a list of services, and they say nothing about how well the work is done.

The Environment Agency's register does not hold contact details for anybody, so we have none to publish. If this is your firm, you can add them.

Is this your firm?

Your name is not on this page. We publish the trading name only, never the personal name, the street address or the full postcode. Less about you than the Environment Agency publishes.

The register holds no way to reach you. Add one, and correct anything above. Neither costs anything.

The government's own view of the registration system

Defra published its plans for reforming the waste carrier, broker and dealer system on 22 August 2025. Its opening assessment is that the current system of registration makes it hard for regulators to target high-risk waste operators properly, that enforcement options are limited, that the Environment Agency can only refuse or revoke registrations if set criteria are met, and that the system does not differentiate between small and large operators.

Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (GOV.UK), Reforming the waste carrier, broker and dealer system, introduction, published 22 August 2025. Read 2026-09-04. Who is allowed to take your things away explains this in full.

What the register settles, and what to ask the firm

We publish the register. Here is where it stops.

It does tell you

  • That the business is registered to transport waste
  • Which tier the registration sits in
  • When the registration expires

It does not tell you

  • That the work will be done well
  • Anything about complaints, insurance or disputes
  • That anyone has inspected their vehicles or staff
