What a council may charge for on a bulky collection

Schedule 1 to the Controlled Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2012 sets out household waste for which collection and disposal charges may be made. For 'any article of waste which exceeds 25kg in weight', and for an article that will not fit into a receptacle provided under section 46 of the Act or, where none is provided, 'a cylindrical container 750mm in diameter and 1m in length', the table records that a charge for collection may be made and a charge for disposal may not.
