No paperwork once the waste had gone
The Environment Agency reported in October 2022 that a landowner in South Yorkshire was ordered to pay a fine, costs and a victim surcharge totalling more than £5,000 after failing to comply with a notice to hand over waste transfer notes. Officers had given advice in October 2020 and returned in June 2021 to find most of the waste gone. The single document produced a year later did not identify who had removed it, and the court heard there was no system for recording waste movements.
