House & estate clearance

Categories describe the waste this registration permits the business to carry. They are not a list of services, and they say nothing about how well the work is done.

The Environment Agency's register does not hold contact details for anybody, so we have none to publish. If this is your firm, you can add them.

Is this your firm?

Your name is not on this page. We publish the trading name only, never the personal name, the street address or the full postcode. Less about you than the Environment Agency publishes.

The register holds no way to reach you. Add one, and correct anything above. Neither costs anything.

Small amounts of DIY waste changed on 31 December 2023

The Controlled Waste (England and Wales) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2023 replaced entry 9 of the waste classification table on 31 December 2023. Construction waste from a home now counts as household waste for section 51 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 where occupiers carried out their own works, no payment was made for them, and a visit brings either under 100 litres fitting in two 50 litre bags or one article no larger than 2000mm by 750mm by 700mm, up to four visits per household in any four week period. The government announced it as an end to charges for DIY waste at council recycling centres.

What the register settles, and what to ask the firm

We publish the register. Here is where it stops.

It does tell you

  • That the business is registered to transport waste
  • Which tier the registration sits in
  • When the registration expires

It does not tell you

  • That the work will be done well
  • Anything about complaints, insurance or disputes
  • That anyone has inspected their vehicles or staff
